Last Updated: April 23, 2026
Atlas Waste Management LLC is committed to operating as a fully licensed and insured business. This page provides an overview of our credentials and the protections in place for every customer we serve.
Business Registration
Atlas Waste Management LLC is a limited liability company registered and in good standing in the State of Georgia.
Entity Type: Limited Liability Company (LLC)
State of Formation: Georgia
Primary Service Area: Atlanta Metropolitan Area
General Liability Insurance
Atlas Waste Management LLC maintains commercial general liability insurance coverage. This policy protects customers against property damage and bodily injury that could arise from our services.
Certificates of Insurance (COI) are available on request. Commercial customers, property managers, estate attorneys, and real estate professionals who require verification of coverage can request a COI naming their organization as a certificate holder by emailing info@atlaswastemanagement.com.
Operator Insurance Requirements
Atlas works exclusively with independent contractor Operators who meet strict insurance requirements. Every Operator dispatched to a job must maintain:
Commercial Automobile Insurance. Coverage on all vehicles used to perform Atlas services, with minimum liability limits of $1,000,000 combined single limit. Personal auto policies are not sufficient and are not accepted.
General Liability Insurance. Minimum coverage of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate. Atlas Waste Management LLC is named as an Additional Insured on every Operator’s general liability policy.
Workers’ Compensation. Operators with employees or helpers maintain workers’ compensation coverage as required by Georgia law.
Insurance Verification
Before any Operator is dispatched to their first Atlas job, we verify their Certificates of Insurance directly with their insurance agency. Coverage is reviewed for adequacy, active status, and accurate Additional Insured endorsement.
All Operator COIs are tracked for expiration. No Operator will be dispatched to a job if their insurance coverage has lapsed, expired, or been canceled.
Local Licensing and Permits
Atlas and its Operators comply with local business license and occupational tax requirements in the jurisdictions we serve, including Fulton County, DeKalb County, Cobb County, Gwinnett County, and the municipalities within our service area.
Atlas follows all applicable regulations for solid waste hauling, transportation, and disposal under Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) guidelines.
Disposal and Environmental Compliance
All items collected by Atlas are disposed of at licensed facilities, including municipal transfer stations, licensed landfills, certified recycling centers, and approved donation partners.
We follow federal and state regulations for the handling of:
- Refrigerant-containing appliances (EPA Section 608 compliance)
- Electronic waste (e-waste)
- Tires and automotive components
- Construction and demolition debris
Atlas does not handle hazardous waste. Items requiring specialized hazardous waste handling are outside our scope of service.
